The latest update from our Executive Director Dr. Bill Greiser...6/27/08
In addition to our own direct relief efforts, we have expended considerable energy and resources in order to facilitate the relief activities of numerous other INGOs who have no local intra-structure from which to draw upon.
With regard to our primary mandate of providing comprehensive care for orphaned, abandoned and needy children, we are continuing with our pre-cyclone efforts in this area. One area of note is the fact that ~ 16 orphanages were either destroyed or experienced significant structural damage. We are gathering data on these homes to submit to potential donors. The average cost to re-build a home is 16,000 USD.
Please know that we are deeply grateful for your support, advocacy and prayers during this time of great challenge and opportunity as we serve the people of Myanmar. We are at once excited and contented, exhausted and hopeful. Honestly, I sometimes feel like I am back in my surgical
residency!
Sincerely in Christ, Bill

Bill: "Is this the President?"
Bill: Just wanted to try to locate you. I found your name on the People Finder website. Hope you are doing well. I am still at the University of South Alabama. I am now working in the Dean's office, College of Medicine. I miss those days in Surgery Department !!!! Those were the good ole days!!! I didn't know if you heard, that Dr. Gaylord Walker died last year. Didn't know if you had received word. I have included my email address. Would like to hear from you. We just got a new Chair of Surgery, Dr. Bill Richards from Vanderbilt. He seems like he will do good. Well, I hope you get this message. Good luck to you.
Patty
